We are pleased to report that the café is once again fully open! People can come in and sit down to have a hot and nutritious meal, or they can pick it up and take it away.
Over a decade ago — on March 15, 2011 — the volunteers of Auggie’s Café provided the first lunch to six guests and 15 parishioners. Since that initial date, tens of thousands of lunches have been provided to anyone who came looking for a hot meal, some fellowship, and friendly conversation.
Auggie’s Cafe is a weekly lunch hosted by St. Augustine’s Parkland Anglican Church where anyone can congregate for a meal. A small army of volunteers provides cooking, clean-up, and conversation in the spirit of helping those in need of nourishment and companionship.
Thanks to the blessings of locally-provided donations, Auggie’s Café is totally self-sustaining. Every Tuesday from 11am to 1pm approximately 100 – 150 nutritious meals are served to all who are in need while promoting inclusion and personal connection in our community. All are welcome to come in and either sit down to dine in the hall or take a lunch to go.

We respectfully acknowledge that we are on Treaty 6 and 8 Territory. In the spirit of peace, friendship and understanding we walk alongside our Indigenous brothers and sisters on the traditional meeting ground and home of Indigenous Peoples, including Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis and Nakota Sioux. We give thanks for their hospitality and the opportunity to share common ground.
